If you are embarking on a career in beauty then you are a people person. This job will introduce you to such interesting and different people. One day you could be giving a treatment to a local lady in your town, the next a high powered solicitor and even a celebrity. The fun part is you just never know who will walk through your door next.
The world is simply your oyster. If you are a home bird then there are plenty of opportunities in spas and salons close by to your home, if you don’t have commitments you have the opportunity to work worldwide or even on cruise ships.
If you are employed you will have a set work schedule each week/month but the beauty industry also gives you a great opportunity to develop your own business. Being self employed means you can set your own working hours and have more flexibility. But don’t be fooled; to build your own business takes time, commitment and hard work so before you embark on setting up your own business, make sure you have completed the management courses to ensure you are armed with all the knowledge and tools for success.
