The Beauty Industry Isn’t Just For Women – Irish Male Clients Are on the Rise

beauty industry

According to Christopher Payne GM at the male grooming industry is booming in Ireland! You would assume that places like the Middle East would see a rise but not Ireland! It’s great to see such a development in the industry. He said “It’s not just down to moisturisers and razor blades. More men are opting for full-on beauty treatments, like hair removal, facials, and manicures,” said Mr Paye.

According to the number of jobs in Ireland’s hair and beauty sector increased by a massive 56% last year and 105% compared to the last five years.

The number of jobs for beauty therapists, makeup artists and spa therapists increased by 186% compared to last year and 114% compared to 2012.

This is an exciting opportunity for current and future beauty therapists who are looking to expand their current client base. Many spas and salons focus on female clients and the men have maybe half a page of a full brochure. But what if you were to offer an environment and services that suited your male clients? Imagine the unique opportunities that your competitors may not have thought of!

So whether you are currently working as a beauty/spa therapist or you are starting your new training career with us at The Sanctuary Beauty Academy – keep this information in mind for future opportunities.
